This can be very very stressful as your are trying to connect to a friend and you just cant. After testing your connection xbox live tells you that you have bad NAT settings. But instead of helping you in any way shape or form xbox live just leaves you to suffer some more. Im sure this is the same with PlayStation network. Ok so there are a few way to get your NAT settings to open but what I think is the easiest is setting up a DMZ. Check out my video below on a full tutorial on how to do this.
So Ive been on YouTube making a few videos for a little bit. I have learned alot of things so far so I plan to share them with you. So here they are. (If you dont want to watch all this Just skip to the video below to explain it all!
The YouTube Player.
When I first started uploading my videos I noticed they all had big black blocks either side of the video. After some research I found that the answer was the fact that the youtube player is widescreen and that I needed to publish and upload all my videos in the correct format. This format is 16:9 meaning that anything in this pixel width by pixel high ratio will fit the screen perfectly. Now all my videos fit perfectly! If you want to upload in HD then it helps if you understand what this means, it simply means the number of pixels high by wide, the higher the number of pixels the higher the quality.
Standard Definition = 640x360
720p HD = 1280x720
1080p HD = 1920x1080
The Channel
In my opinion the channel shows of all your videos and is a huge selling point deciding if your visitors disappear straight away or stay and look around. So make your channel original and separate from the normal youtube channels. Also as YouTube updated the watch page and one of the features that came available to non-partners is the auto-play feature this makes your latest video play automatically when someone clicks onto your channel. To set this up you just need to go to the "Videos and Playlists" tab on your channel and select the Auto Play Feature box.
So as you may know if you have already seen my videos I have started to try and do commentary. So My recent video is about my first nuke attempt. I do really well in getting my harrier then chopper gunner. my chopper gunner gets me all the way to 24 Kills. Then what do I do, the one thing I said not to do in my other post in how to get a nuke. I ran and got too exited and tried to get the final kill. When I carelessly ran around the corner I got totally owned by a guy who knifed me. I have already done a post on how to defeat high explosive but I will now demonstrate the glitch way on how to do it. It is very simply and the mission can be done in about 8 minutes this way. You simply have to go to the room shown in the video and how your partner lay behind the set of drawers. Once a Juggernaut comes if you knife him over and over until you are downed your partner will be able to get you back up. You can keep on doing this over and over again until all the juggernauts are dead. You have to make sure you done let the juggernauts get to your partner. Check out the video tutorial below.
Ive been doing this tactic since I first started playing call of duty 4 and it has helped me countless times and I hope it will help you. Have you ever realized how long it takes to get through a simple window. While you are climbing through this window many times you have to put your gun away. But there is a way around this because you can jump then hit the crouch button and glide straight through it. You may have to practice a little at first but once you get used to it you will be doing it without even noticing. Check out the video tutorial below.
Claymores are a very widely used piece of equipment on modern warfare 2 and they where hugely used on COD4. There is a very good reason for this, it keeps you safe and lets you concentrate on less entrances or it simply is there to protect an objective. I love the claymore but I see many people planting it in a stupid way. This then makes the claymore only a alarm for the user it does not kill the enemy as the enemy can run straight past the claymore. My newest video shows that by angling your claymore slightly away from the door the enemy will run into the blast of the claymore rather that run out of it. You have to remember that the red lines are the trigger points and you dont ever want one of these sticking through a wall as you are then wasting valuable protection. Please take a look at my video. This videos was entirely made out of modern warfare 2 clips and rivals some movie clips. This amazing video shows the extraction of captain price from a different angle. Many camera angles are used to heighten the mood and this makes the game alot more tense and real. Awesome job!
There are many types of playlists on call of duty modern warfare 2. Such as team tactical and team deathmatch. But will infinity ward ever make changes to them. From call of duty 4 I would guess not. In my opinion if infinity ward were more dedicated to there fan base they could make a brilliant game. For instance bungie who makes halo 3 did a brilliant job with the halo playlists. There are many playlists such as team snipers and team doubles on halo 3. I think this change of playlists really helps to keep the game alive. Imagine a team snipers on modern warfare 2, I would defiantly play this. But we never know, once infinity ward fix all the glitches they might start listening to what us fans have to say.

This is one of the most annoying things, you get a chopper gunner on a game mode you sit down and start owning some noobs and think "awesome I must have beat my highest killstreak now!" But sadly when you get out of the heli you are at a spawn point. So how do you not die while you have a killstreak or when you are getting a killstreak? My best tip when you are in one of the controllable killstreaks is to simply hide in the best place you can find. Dont hide near the enemies either, unless you think you are in an amazing hiding space. Try to stay behind your team members as this will be your shield that will protect you from the other team. If you are in a third person match be aware of the enemies view because they can see alot more. There are alot of hiding spaces on every map that can be used. Some can be very obvious so be wary to hide there. You will need to hide in a bushy or very confined space this is your best bet. Also if you have a claymore plant this near you as this could save your life. This is the most you can do. But how do you stay alive while trying to get to a chopper gunner or AC130? First of all you need to always stay calm, if you get exited and go for one last kill this could be when you get owned and die. If you are on a streak just go steady and pick of enemies as they run past. Remember to switch up your places all the time because people you just killed will be after revenge. Other than this just stay with your team because if you run of on a one man mission you will die eventually.
Rage quitting, is the act of leaving a game when really annoyed. Everyone does it and everyone also laughs at people who do it. People rage quit on every game whether it be halo 3, forza motorsport or pac-man. But it seems to be very popular in modern warfare 2. But why do you think this is? does it have something to do with the matchmaking or just the opponents? I will admit I rage quit and for various reasons that I will shout about. Such as the other team having a higher skill level or just me doing absolutely terrible. Rage quitting is a thing that happens in ever game and cannot be cured. Its the cancer of xbox. If you find yourself rage quitting. Go have a rest watch a little TV do something to refresh your mind and play the game a little later.
When I decide to use a new gun I always seem to do really really well, but after using the gun and adding more and more variations to the setup like silencer or heartbeat sensor. I notice myself doing worse and worse and not getting the kills anymore. I then feel like I have no good classes and I end up changing them all back to more simple classes like slight of hand stopping power and steady aim. With a red dot sight gun. This is when I seem to do the best. So my tip is if you feel like all your classes are rubbish try going back to basics! Do you ever have this feeling? In modern warfare 2 quickscoping is seen a very skillful tactic that can be used to devastating affect. The aim of quickscoping is to try kill the enemy as fast as possible without losing any accuracy. There are many people who can do it well but also many people who find it hard. So how do you get started in quick scoping? Its simple I suggest getting one or two friends together in a private match in rust. Have it set as a free for all with unlimited time and unlimited score and half health (so you dont get any hitmarkers). Make sure your friends are only using the intervention or Barrett and just try to quick scope. I would suggest using the intervention as it is more accurate so more bullets will hit. I would defiantly use the slight of hand pro as the faster aiming down sights make the scope animation alot faster. When I quickscope I generally use a dragging technique, this is when you start of from either left or right of the enemy and aim in while moving over there body then shoot when the scope cross is over the body. This seems to be very accurate. Remember to only shoot when the aim is over the body. Last but not least, just practice! Go into the private match and have fun, eventually you will learn and become better and better. Here is a video of an amazing quickscoper called small beans giving his tutorial on it.
Competitive gaming is something that many of you will not know about or will have not taken part in. It is games in which you can make money from. Such as modern warfare two. Teams play in these games versus other teams in tournaments and game ladders. The winners can receive alot of money from playing games. There are many different places to get involved with competitive gaming. Many of you will have heard of MLG (Major League gaming). Soon Machinima will be holding there very own tournament for modern warfare 2 called the frag cup. 64 Teams will be playing domination for a big cash prize at the end. It will be teams of 4 and this is alot different from normal game modes. In competitive gaming players will use guns such as the M16 and the FAMAS to kill you because these are seen to be the best. They use communication to the highest level possible they use code words for different routes across the map and they will inform other teammates about every single move they do. They are prepared to do anything to kill the opponent and win such as spawn trapping and drop shots. It will be very interesting to see who wins the frag cup and im looking forward to seeing some of the games. Many people will play modern warfare for hours on end and kill and kill and kill. But Most of these people will not know how they are killing them or how much damage there gun is doing to the other person. Thats why today I'm going to educate you to the best of my ability. First of all you should know that your full health is 100 this can be affected by things such as painkiller and health set in private matches. Weapons do damage to you depending on how far away you are. There is one damage when you are close and a lower damage when you are classed as far away. Each of these damages can be multiplied depending on where you hit your enemy. For example the intervention does 70 damage and with the intervention getting a headshot means the damage is multiplied by 1.5%. This means that the intervention would then do 105 damage thus killing the enemy. But the legs do not have multipliers on so the intervention doesn't kill when shot there. Generally snipers and LMGs have unlimited range (always do max damage unless silenced), assault rifles have long range, and SMGs/Machine Pistols/Pistols have short range. Silencers reduce the range of all the weapons except LMGs and snipers, causing them to do their "Damage Far" value much earlier, hence making them weaker. Knifes and throwing knives do 135 damage so they always kill instantly unless double health is enabled in a private match. When it comes to sniping you will hear many people on xbox live either saying how good that "quick scope" is or how your a "hard scoping" noob and a lot of you will be wondering what a hard hard scope is. Well today's post is all about different methods of sniping.
Hard Scope
Getting started is the normal way of shooting a sniper and the way real life snipers do it. This is call a hard scope. It is when you are aimed in for a long period of time and shoot. This is the most used throughout the game by players as it is the simplest.
No Scope
The second method of sniping will be the No scope, This is when a player kills another player with a sniper rifle without looking through the scope this is. Personally I have tried this and do not like it as I cannot do it but I do find many players who can no scope to such a good level that it can be rivaled with other forms of sniping.
Quick Scope
Thirdly the quick scope is when a player will look into the sight for only a short amount of time and as soon as the crosshairs are over the enemy the player will shoot. This is generally used when trying to assualt with the sniper because players will find themselves faced with an enemy so they will either quick scope or no scope hoping to kill them. It takes alot of practice to become good at quick scoping and if you search youtube you will find many tutorials on how to make yourself better.
