Modern Warfare 2 - Tips Tricks and Tactics

Machine pistols are a first in modern warfare. These secondary weapons have a high fire rate but little damage. Some of these machine pistols can double as a primary. There are many advantages with machine pistols such as a larger mag and also there is some awesome damage to be dealt with them. The G18 is a prime example, with its extremely high fire rate but alot of recoil making it very difficult to aim. But when used with akimbo the damage that can be done with these is amazing. I would defiantly recommend it.

 A slightly different example is the M93 Raffica this is a 3 round burst close range gun. The raffica is basically seen by me as a mini M16. As for attachments to be used with the machine pistols I would say to try akimbo with all of them. The red dot sight can be used on the Raffica very well. Machine pistols such as the G18 and the TMP can be used well in aggressive situations and also when you are being rushed the akimbo G18's could be your savior.

Shotguns were first in call of duty four as a primary weapon. Infinity Ward found that they where the least used though. This is why in modern warfare 2 they are now a secondary weapon. As you have noticed the shotguns have changed alot and there are alot of new ones. There are many good and bad points to all of these shotguns. Like the rangers that have a devistating amount of power but only have a very short range. Before the patches the M1887 had both long range and very good power so it rivaled any gun on the game. This was then so overpowered that infinity ward patched this. In my experience I think the best shotgun is the SPAS-12 this has medium range and high power. This can be used well with any class and you can get many kills with it, some people use it as a primary weapon. My least favorite shotgun is the ranger as it only has 2 shells then needs to be reloaded. The best attachment by far for a shotgun would be the foregrip as it makes the gun alot more accurate and makes it have more range in affect more kills, I would not use any shotgun with a silencer because you might as well use a silenced machine pistol.  In conclusion shotguns can be used in close range battles very well, but it preforms poorly on long maps such as wasteland. The wide spread from the shell is good if you are not that accurate. I think shotguns are one of the best secondary weapons but can only be used in certain areas.

 The topic is handguns, are they really worth it? Some people will say no because there are machine pistols and shotguns to be used. But that is not true there is many reasons to use a pistol. One of these are that they are alot more accurate and have a bigger range. So if you have a good finger you should be able to shoot it reasonably fast. One big reason to use a pistol is the akimbo attachment. Any pistol that has this attachment is a big threat to enemies as they are powerful and can be fired fast. Another attachment that pistols have is the tactical knife, this has had such a huge impact on the game that people make a class just for knifing only. This class would consist of a first weapon which can be any it doesn't matter , a pistol with tactical knife, throwing knife, marathon, lightweight and commando. So if you want to try a pistol I would say use them with either the tactical knife or akimbo. If you just want a pistol with a different attachment I would use machine pistol.
