Modern Warfare 2 - Tips Tricks and Tactics

There are three different button layouts in call of duty, regular, tactical and lefty. These can help you a lot if you learn which is the best for you! Many highly skilled player will use the tactical layout. The tactical layout swaps the crouch and the knife button around. Personally I use the tactical layout because I then have full control of my movement and crouch with just two thumbsticks. This then means I have to move my hand less and also I react faster because of this. When using tactical layout you can then preform a dropshot more easily (a drop shot is where you drop to the ground while shooting an opponent, this reduces the surface area that your opponent can fire at you making you less likely to be killed) Some people find dropshots cheeky and a very cheap way to kill someone. But I say anything that gets you more kills you should try! Also you do not knife very often unless you are using a knifing class therefor why not have crouch on the thumbstick? When swapping layouts be aware that it will take you a long time to get used to it, don't give up straight away stick with it and see if you like it. If not swap back! If you play halo you will get used to it faster as this is the same layout halo as (melee with B crouch with thumbstick). Rust is a small multilayer map on modern warfare 2, The map itself is an oil farm with a big tower in the middle with open space and some more small parts of cover. This map is not seen in most gamemodes but when it is seen there are huge amounts of spawn killing. This cannot be stopped. What I am going to be talking about today is how to win at 1v1 on this map. There are many places to have an advantage over the other player. One way of winning a game will be to anticipate there spawn and kill them from there. There is one spot that I favor for doing this:

From the trailer you have control over two sides of the map, most likely where the person will be coming from because people spawn on roughly the other side of the map, the red area shows where you should be looking. Spawning normally goes from one side to the other. Once you have tried this out yourself you will understand. There is one way where you cannot see while you are in the trailer and this is the blue area. To counter people coming this way a claymore could be set so they cannot sneak attack you. In olden times there was no such thing as bullet penetration. For example Far cry: instincts  there was no bullet penetration, you shoot at a thin metal sheet and bullets just bounce of. Why am I bringing this up you may ask. Because you should use it! If you see an enemy behind a wall, you could shoot through it and kill him. When someone you are chasing runs behind a wall, don't go and chase after him let your bullets chase him and shoot through the wall. They are a lot faster than you! But be careful though are there are times when and when not to do this, For example if you start spraying the hell out of a wall all the other team will see your red dot on the mini-map and proceed to own you. Take this into account and you could get a few more kills!

Today I am at my friends house playing call of duty. It seems that we have got highrise a lot, Search and destroy on highrise can either be one of your most loved one or most hated. The spawn to spawn sniping it what makes this map so memorable. But how can you beat these? You could join them and try it yourself, failing will cause a swift death in rounds. One way that I suggest you tackle this is going head on and rushing through there base. I would suggest a class with marathon and lightweight with a gun with maximum mobility for the fastest travel, a good gun would be a SMG with a silencer like the UMP. Go through the underground way to the other base watching for enemies around corners. as you go around corners I would suggest hipfire and not aim as aiming takes time and you could die. Once you are in the base procide to eliminate all enemies there make sure none are behind you. After this head outside and take anybody else out from behind. Once people figure out what you are doing they will try harder to come and kill you, like plant claymores. So swith it up abit and maybe go a different way. The easiest way is shown in the map below:

There are many different ways to get a nuke in modern warfare two. First I will talk about killstreaks, from me I would suggest using harriers, AC130/Chopper gunner and then nuke. There are other variations but this is the main one. Any kit can be used to get a nuke. But i would recommend using one with alot of ammo and good perks to kill enemies fast (stopping power) or keep you hidden (cold blooded). First I would rack up a few kills by running around. If you get a good killstreak going I will then proceed to find a spot and camp. Killing enemies as they run past. Always remember to keep entrances either claymored or keep your gun on them (people will try to come kill you) and make sure you switch up your positions. After getting a 7 Killstreak and unlocking harriers I would find a good hiding spot so nobody can find you. use the harriers, hopefully this will unlock AC130/Chopper gunner if it doesn't just try get another couple of kills. When using the killstreak reward make sure you focus on enemies that are in large groups and open areas. If you are 3 short from a nuke stay calm! Worrying will make you play bad and make stupid decisions. Hopefully all this added together should get you a nuke! Then you can laugh while the other team is weeping. If you dont get it on your first try dont quit! Try and try again, you will get one.
